Straight Down Main

(Jill Koch)
you- never take me the back way, you are so unashamed, you go straight down main, with the windows down. feels kinda like we’re on parade, stoplights get in my way, we still go straight down main, with the windows down. * and i love the way you look at me, the way you shake your head at me, i’m grow’ in warm to the way you hold me (like your never gonna leave) you bring out the best in me, you bring out the worst in me, you know, you inspire me. yeah this was meant to be. the crowds- never seem to get you down, you just like to look around, time stands quiet downtown, even with the windows down. the air this air is rushing over my face, “smell the culture” you say, as we go straight down main with the windows down. * rain-even if it’s coming down coming, like when you decided to love me, we still go straight down main with the windows down **oh the pain, oh the hate, oh the love, oh the grace.* you never take me the back way, you are so unashamed you go straight down main.
